Many people think that bookkeeping is a science and that numbers are conclusive.  There is in fact a lot of room for latitude depending on your bookkeeper’s qualifications and on their knowledge of your company.

 

My job as owner of Dragon Bookkeeping and Financial Analysis is to get to know you and your business.  My client list is maintained at a certain level in order to allow me to do just that.  Many of my clients have become friends, mainly because I truly care about them and their business and I want to see them succeed.

 

I perceive bookkeeping as a means to an end.  If you don’t have accurate numbers, you will never be able to figure out how your business is really doing.  Many of my clients are small business owners.  If you are a small business owner, do you know whether you are truly making any money?  You have a lot of sales but you are struggling to pay vendors or payroll, do you know why?  You have an idea of how much money you would like to draw from your business every year, but do you know how much sales you need to do that while having enough left over to cover other expenses?
